How we choose the experiences we publish

There are hundreds of thousands of bookable experiences in the United States. Most of them are not worth your attention. Here is exactly how we narrow the field.

  1. Standard 1

    At least 1,000 traveler reviews

This is enforced centrally in our data layer, not as a display filter. An experience below the threshold cannot appear in listings, search, comparisons, recommendations, our sitemap or structured data.

  2. Standard 2

    United States only

Destinations are resolved through Viator's own taxonomy rather than by matching words in product titles, so nothing outside the US can slip into a US page.

  3. Standard 3

    No invented facts

We never fabricate ratings, review counts, prices, discounts, scarcity, bookings or awards. Where a data point is unavailable, we omit it and tell you to confirm on Viator.

  4. Standard 4

    Honest comparisons

Verdicts like 'best value' or 'best for families' are only assigned when the underlying data supports them, and each verdict shows its reasoning.

  5. Standard 5

    Booking happens on Viator

We are an affiliate discovery site, not the merchant. Every booking CTA opens the specific Viator product page. If we can't verify a valid product-level link, we hide the CTA rather than send you somewhere generic.

Affiliate disclosure

When you book through a link on this site, we may earn a commission from Viator at no additional cost to you. It does not influence which experiences we rank highest — ranking is driven by ratings and review volume, not commission.
